Anant Chaturthi

According to Hindu Calendar, Ananta Chaturdashi falls on the 14th day of waxing moon (Shukla Paksha) in the lunar month of the Bhadrapada. The day is dedicated to Lord Vishnu who is worshipped as 'Anant' on this day. The word 'Anant' signifies endless or eternal bliss.

On day of Anant Chaturthi along with Lord Vishnu, Seshnaga (The Great Seven Hooded Serpent) is worshipped. Besides this the grand festival of Ganeshoutsav culminates with a grand farewell to Lord Ganesha.  It is believed that worshipping Lord Vishnu on this day brings back lost wealth.
